Raised on Martha's Vineyard and based in New York's Hudson Valley, I make work that moves across painting, sculpture, and fiber installation. I am drawn to charged materials that arrive already loaded with association, history, or bodily life. Rope, hornet's nest paper, snakeskin, torn tights, and clay pigments are woven into conversation with painting. Each material is an active participant in meaning-making, in dialogue with new materialist thinkers like Karen Barad, whose work recognizes the lived history of matter. 

My ongoing series Entanglement is built on the structure of textile, the knot, the meshwork, which I use as both method and metaphor for a world in which nothing stands apart. Works like She Was the Weather, Love Before Language, Cable, and Sand to Sky hold together labor, motherhood, and mortality through a dialogue of interlacing materials and painted imagery.

My work has been exhibited at Eric Firestone Gallery and the MEAM Museum in Barcelona, with an upcoming show at Carrie Haddad Gallery in Hudson, New York. I have held residencies at the Millay Colony of the Arts, Red Gate Residency in Beijing, and SACI in Florence, and hold a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, 2009, and an MFA from the University at Albany, 2026.
